Locate your duct in order to properly clean your dryer s ventilation system you have to first know where it is and where it ends. If you find much lint on it repeat the step again. When the vent looks clear go back. The first thing you have to do is locate where the duct begins and ends.

It will make cleaning it easier. Once the dryer s in place head outside to clean the exterior vent. In back of most dryer units is a short 4 inch diameter. Start by removing the cover then put on some work gloves and clear out any accumulated lint.

Clean out the dryer vent from the outside using a vacuum. Use hose extensions if available to vacuum out as much of the duct as you can. Go outside the house and remove the exterior vent cover. Move it carefully spinning while you push it in.

Pull it out and remove the lint from the brush.
